I understand that the idea of Man and Woman as the only two identities, and that body parts are tied to those identities, seems like a fundamental truth to your human experience.
But let me tell you about my nonbinary experience...
But let me tell you about my nonbinary experience...

I’m just one person and this is therefore just one story...
I knew I was not a boy when I was growing up. In fact, when I was about 13 I assumed I’d get, and started to plan for a “sex change.” I knew of Christine Jorgensen and thought THAT was my path.

But I quickly realized that I am not a woman either. I’m not a man. I’m not a woman. I’m nonbinary.
It wasn’t until I became famous on Vine though that I first heard the word nonbinary...my shoulders relaxed and I felt seen for the first time. That why I do what I do.

Through my book and my videos I want to give other trans/nonbinary people that same sense of relief and the same sense of self-kindness I felt when I first heard the word and learned the concept of NONBINARY

A comment I often get is, rudely, someone will say: “obviously nonbinary doesn’t exist and you’re just a man. Why not just say you’re a man and expand the definition of man”
...uhhhh...because I’m not a man. Men and woman are never told “of course you aren’t real”

Men and Women are not told what their gender identity “really” is. Trans/nonbinary people are told this all the time
HERE’S THE THING, I’m as much me as anyone else. I know my gender as well as any man or woman.
“How do you know you’re nonbinary?”
How do YOU know your gender?
