The disaster we’re seeing in Los Angeles & California more broadly is inextricable from years of failed climate change policies.

Failed policies that have been & continues to be applauded by Dems nationwide. Including VP nominee @KamalaHarris.

🧵THREAD🧵
She hasn’t been alone, particularly among Dem electeds from California. Here’s @SenFeinstein.
Here’s California’s state Dem leader @kdeleon.

California’s “push forward” has resulted in energy rationing.
Basically the entire California delegation is here. Here’s @RoKhanna expressing the same sentiment.
More of the same from @RepJimmyGomez.
Cause, meet effect, @MayorOfLA.

Somehow the “best ideas” ended up with “time to turn off major appliances.”
And of course it’s no surprise to see @JerryBrownGov, the architect of so many of these failed policies, on here.
But for those who may think this is just a California phenomenon, it isn’t. Plenty of politicians are excited at the prospect of making all of America just like California.

Remember @AndrewGillum?
I’m telling you, the plan is to ensure more states adopt California’s failed approach.

Here’s @MikeBloomberg, who may have more influence over the future of the party than anyone alive.
Here are the @DemGovs embracing California’s approach.

Is this the kind of leadership you’d like to campaign on, @DemGovs? Not sure how many hearts and minds “get ready for no air conditioning time” will win.
It isn’t hyperbolic to say that this is an idea the Dems want to export. Here’s @DLCC.
Also I really can’t overstate how much @KamalaHarris seems to be a fan of the approach that has left Californians without the liberty to control their own thermostat.
Policy decisions have consequences. Maybe for some in LA and CA these ones are worth it.

But it’s unavoidable that these consequences are material and that @KamalaHarris, @JoeBiden and the Dems are looking to export these consequences nationwide.
Go figure. My first thread on the most sacred of cows, climate change, caught someone’s attention at twitter dot com.
In case it didn’t show up this one from @Politico was...something.
