A position paper by me, Prof Paul Kirkham & Mr Barry Thomas.
Of particular note is the claim that the SARS-COV-2 pandemic is essentially complete in U.K. Further, that it is most unlikely to return as a large, consolidated outbreak, aka 2nd wave.
Most importantly, we provide the explanation for why the NHS isn’t normalising as you’d expect. It’s being run as lightly loaded as they can get away with “in anticipation of the 2nd wave”. This has just got to stop. People need & deserve full access to “our NHS”. Finally, we..
...dissect the PCR testing strategy & show that almost all community mass screening positives are false positives.
We will have more to say in due course.
A preprint dated Aug 18th, saying exactly what we’re asserting about one-time PCR testing in the community:

“Steps should be taken to raise awareness of false positives, reduce their frequency, and mitigate their effects. In the interim, positive results in asymptomatic individuals that haven't been confirmed by a second test should be considered suspect.”
And, relevant to U.K. right now,
“For example, the model results suggest that in South Korea after around April 7th nearly all positive results, especially for asymptomatic individuals, were probably false positives. Nonetheless, South Korea continued to conduct >6k tests a day”
