I've been thinking about that tweet that claimed continental Africans just "don't listen" to Blk Americans and I'm still so annoyed at how wrong and condescending it was

We can start with the lack of access to even have cross continental conversations. And then we can talk about how due to colonialism and imperialism, continental Africans are and have been subjected to violent anti Blackness on a systemic level

And THEN we can talk about how because of the resource looting and hoarding of this colonial project called the USA, continental Africans HAVE TO leave their homes and knowing that this place is hell JUST to give their families a chance at social mobility

It's silly to think that ppl don't know that goes on in America when American news and media is constantly shoved down everyone's throats. But America and other western countries hoard so many resources that it is often BETTER to deal with it here than back home

(and we keep telling you that the continental Africans with the most resources don't usually settle in the west. Because we know this place is trash. Folks don't migrate just cos )
