According to the Faridkot Tika [the first translation of Guru Granth], the famous shabad "Poota Mata Ki Asees", was written by Guru Arjan conveying the blessing/prayer his mother Bibi Bhani gave to him when receiving the title of Guru at the age of 18.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਭਗਤ ਬੀਬੀ ਕਰੀ ॥
The True Guru [Amar Das] bestowed his Grace upon the Devoted Bibi [Bhani], merging her [with the Divine].

- great grandmother of Guru Tegh Bahadur
- and great-great grandmother of Guru Gobind Singh.
