I've been thankful and challenged by folks who have *rightly* provided pushback against a "truncated" or "narrow" gospel, but I often wonder why that is done to the exclusion of the personal nature of the gospel.
In other words, I think in responding to the mistakes of previous generations, we're making a similar mistake. Thankful Christ has died and risen for *me* and that he will redeem the entire cosmos as well. It ain't good news that Christ will redeem all things if I ain't there.
In the words of my brothers, @MalcolmBFoley, and Bishop @pastorslim63 the gospel is personal, communal, and cosmic. Those are really good categories in my opinion.
This all from my very narrow vantage point. This thread is also inspired by my reading for class tomorrow.
