You probably heard that email marketing has a return of investment of about $44 for every $ spent.

Dived in only to get nothing but crickets after every sales email.

You know you are doing something wrong,

But what could that be?

A thread.
As with any business out there, people will only but from you if they trust you.

Your copy, design or even product might not matter.

Because if I don't trust you, I will never buy from you.
So, your first step to making sales is build trust

But how?

Provide value, this shows that you actually know what you are talking about.

Provide help, helping others make you come out as humble, people love humble people.
Share testimonials, use previous sales to drive new ones, let your new prospects see that they are not the only one buying.

And that your product actually works as intended.

Be transparent and honest,
Once you have earned their trust, you need to make sure they open your emails.

Nobody will open an email with a boring subject line.

Make your prospects curious and want to open your mail.

After all, if those emails remain closed, you remain broke.
Imagine working hard to craft an eye-catching subject line and writing a compelling email copy.

But you aren’t making sells because of a lousy CTA that does not encourage subscribers to click on your messages

Your campaigns could fall short.
Avoid using something generic like “shop now” or “buy now’’, come up with something that hooks your readers interest a little bit more.

Also, when crafting CTA ask these questions to yourself:

Is it descriptive?
Is it easy to act on?
Is it hard to miss?
Most marketers approach email marketing with a short term goal in mind – to boost sales.

That’s a natural thing to do; after all, the primary goal is to increase sales.

You should however focus on building relationships with your subscribers.

Make Engagement a priority.
When people join your email list they do so because they want to know more about your business,

Not because they want to buy products from you.

Remember engagement is the key to driving good returns from your email campaigns in the long run.
