I love that when people start dismantling their attraction to whiteness the next most visible thing is their attraction to thinness.

realizing the things my body will never be used to be devastating to me, now I try to see my own body through a decolonized lens. I might not ever have a six pack or chiseled jaw line or perky boobs or whatever, but i have a body built out of the strength of my ancestors.

I can look in the mirror and see my grandma’s nose and know that all the other castillo’s have it too. my back is as strong as my uncles and my dads and my arms are as strong as my tia’s and primas. my body has value regardless of its shape

so idk. decolonize your desires. this means more than fucking people out of the rainbow of skin tones. this means seeing value and beauty in all types of bodies whether or not the media sees them as attractive.
