Jordan Howard is a nice end of draft consideration for the zero-RB guys, or just those looking for depth at the position. And while the cost is low, I do have some concerns about what his 2020 will look like leading the MIA backfield.

A thread...
The 2019 Dolphins were abysmal...

They ran 302 plays in the 4th Q while trailing (2nd most in the league), and trailed in the 4th Q in 14/16 games.

In fact, they ran 209 plays in the 4th Q while trailing by 8+ points
In his career, Jordan Howard generally has a pretty even split of carries among all 4 quarters of a game.

- 27.1% in Q1
- 24.1% in Q2
- 23.1% in Q3
- 25.8% in Q4

The fourth quarter is actually Howard's second-highest usage by quarter
However, most of that production is when he is called upon to salt away the clock when his team is winning. In fact, over 75% of his career carries in Q4 are when his team is tied or has the lead.

He has 57 career carries over 57 career games when his team trails in the 4th Q
The fear here of course is that Miami, while improved from last year, could find themselves trailing an awful lot this season in the 4th quarter.

Vegas projects them to win ~6 games in 2020. However, it wouldn't be difficult to see them finishing under that amount
If we think Miami may lose their fair share of games, we are somewhat hoping JoHo is productive in Q's 1-3, as he may become somewhat non-existent in the 4th Q if they are losing.

Again, cost is low for JoHo, but I would temper my expectations of what he can provide in 2020
