Track 1 (CBTE) is a dreamy song, this song helps with the message that I will state later that’s why the dreamy affect and crazy production tie into Mac Miller‘s life

Track two Is one of the self reflection tracks on the album the song it’s self is about MAC MILLER not changing himself which further helps his career and on another note J. Cole did an amazing job on production

What’s the use

Track 3 is one of my favorite tracks on the album as it shows mac’s versatility, The production was pristine and Mac Miller shows off his pure rapping abilities.

Track 4 is about MAC MILLER trying to tie all of his relationships into his life and in my own words he’s trying to make his life perfect it’s sad that Mac Miller died and this is foreshadowing drugs were like a second girlfriend to him

self-care is the most popular song from the album, and for good reason. Track five is Mac Miller overcoming hardships as it is shown in the music video he has the free himself out from a coffin and that is overcoming hardship The beat switch also has a big part.

Track six is as Mac recovering but what I wanna talk about is that this song has a much deeper meaning Mac wrote this song just to pretend everything is fine at the time he was going through a lot in his life only a month after the album he died

Ladders
Track seven isn’t a typical rap song in general, this track is an upbeat track The production really reflects on the albums message Mac uses the word ladders to basically say that you shouldn’t go to higher you will fall down

Small worlds
This song discuss his Mac Miller’s issues this song came out in late May 2018 and reflects on his crash and his break up with Ariana
Favorite lyric: and I just want to fall maybe dunk but I’ve never been tall

This track is Mac Miller dedicating his album to Ariana a lot of the lyrics relate to stuff that they did and memories that Mac has had of her it’s a great song and definitely one of my favorites

This is one of the track were Mac foreshadows his future, he uses jet fuel as a metaphor for drugs and he talks about addiction and how he can’t function without them

I really can’t get through this song without feeling emotional, in track 12 Mac Miller reflects on how he has changed since 2009, that date is also when Mac Miller started to release music as a younger individual

The final track of swimming is a sad song production was really good and all of the producers on the album made it feel like Mac Miller‘s problems this song is like the intro where the vocals are often hard to understand but still makes sense

Final thoughts

this is a work of art Mac Miller used this album as a cry for help and the versatility shows Mac’s highs and lows This album deals with topics like drugs love and shows how they are controlling his brain. After listening to this album I can say this was aoty.
