So. As a KH fan who also knows a thing or two about Game Dev. I just wanted to bring up something.

Porting those games to the Switch is not easy.

Let me explain why:
For starters, there's some huge differences between the Switch and PS4/Xbox. The latter two are consoles intended to play the best of the best. The Switch on the other hand is designed to be portable, which means sacrificing things like storage space and computing power.
Now that's not to say the Switch is bad. The Switch can play a lot of awesome games! And there's all sorts of amazing indie games and games from small studios you can play on Switch! Go try some of them out!
But it does mean porting to switch takes a lot more effort. Devs now have to take into account storage space, making sure the game uses as little battery life as possible, graphical limitations, and even input differences.
Yes. Even the 1.5&2.5 collection would run into this problem. Because it does take up quite a bit of space, and has been remastered to work on consoles that can handle some extra flair, and don't have to worry about how hot the cpu runs.
The amount of reprogramming, changing things, and bug fixing it would take to have all the games in that collection work on the Switch would be far more time consuming than Enix would be willing to spend time on in comparison to possible profits.
That's not even getting into 2.8 and KH3. KH3 may not look realistic, but between model sizes, texture sizes, vfx, and even lighting, porting that to the Switch would take immense changes.
KH3 takes advantage of all the things Unreal can do. And it looks amazing! But unfortunately you just can't bring that experience to the Switch without losing a lot of what made it so gorgeous.
So in short, porting to Switch is not easy. Sadly there's no button in our game engines that says "Bugfree Port to Switch." It takes a lot of time and effort, that Enix seems to want to direct towards other games and projects.
