I will now offer my thoughts on Liverpool's transfer window.

I think they've been smart in their business.

There's no immediate need to spend big on new additions and the gradual blooding-in of signings over a span of windows has worked well. I also think it makes little sense for them to sign lots of players at once.

The signing of Tsimikas not only provides depth but also a tactical fit at left back, while Minamino is showing signs of promise as he continues to be integrated into the setup.

There's also a promising youth team and the players recruited to that section.

It might not be what every fan wants, but stability should be the key for the next year or two for Liverpool.

They reinvested effectively with the Coutinho money in the initial sense and are on a base which allows them to maintain a sustainable long-term model.

They've been heavily linked with Thiago this window. For me it's an opportunistic deal and a no-brainer for Liverpool at the price he's reportedly on the market for.

But a big-money signing when they're not really in need of strengthening elsewhere? Nah.
