On this Labor Day, let’s ask: could immigrants actually be good for U.S.-born workers?
Many see immigrants as entering a country and “taking jobs.” But immigrants are also highly entrepreneurial – they start companies and create jobs, too.
We studied every founder and every worker in the United States. It turns out that immigrants create more jobs than they take. And their businesses pay wages at least as good as businesses founded by the U.S.-born.
In other words, the usual narrative that immigrants hurt American workers appears exactly backwards.
