I wrote about a question that White House corona-skeptics are asking dangerously and Millennials are sweating honestly: What do young people really have to fear from COVID-19?

This">https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/arc... is my attempt to answer as clearly, even mathematically, as possible.
The White House and herd immunity evangelists claim that "it doesn& #39;t matter" if young ppl get COVID.

But if a 30-yo man and a 60-yo man contract COVID-19, it is more likely that the 30yo will develop a months-long illness than the 60yo will die. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/09/what-young-healthy-people-have-fear-covid-19/616087/">https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/arc...
"I wouldn’t want my pandemic plan to be, Let’s have hundreds of thousands of young people with lifelong illnesses. I wouldn’t want to tell 30-to-50-year-olds that we’ve signed them up for a high risk of heart disease and chronic organ damage.”
COVID& #39;s youth fatality risk might be "low" but the long-term-illness risk to young ppl& #39;s hearts and lungs could be as serious as the mortality risk to old ppl.

The let-& #39;er-rippers are asking young Americans to play craps with their internal organs. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/09/what-young-healthy-people-have-fear-covid-19/616087/">https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/arc...
