Just remember, your DEI programming does not matter if you aren’t hiring and paying BIPOC folks. You can talk a great game but when it comes to hiring and you don’t change then the programming won’t matter. Your employees won’t trust your words.
They will look at what you have done as performative. They will assume that you are doing this for the media and not for your company or employees. Where you put your money and time shows what you care about.
It’s time to pull out the salary books and see what everyone is being paid and to make adjustments when you see the inequities.
