For historians, all thoses concording reports indicate that the umayyad dynasty initiated the cursing of 'Ali since the rebellion of Muawiyyah, or even before just after the death of 'Uthman.
You will not find reals academicians (historians ofc) dismissing this fact.

How anyone can state that muawiyyah didn't cursed 'Ali when most of sunnis reliables sources corroborate this claim ?
The classical sunnis scholars view is that muawiyyah wasn't infaillible and cursed Ali, and that he initiated the ritual cursing of Ahlul Bayt by the umayyad dynasty, but today Wahhabis want to depict all companions as infaillible.
Lets make the things clear with a little summarize of this :
Muawiya instaured what was a state policy of cursing Ali and his progeny pursued by the Umayyad Caliphate between 41 and 132 AH and corroborated by most of reliable historical source of this time in order to discredit the partisans of Ali and enforce loyalty to the umayyad state.
AND THIS IS AN ETABLISHED FACT CORROBORATED BY MOST RELIABLE HISTORICAL SOURCES, SUNNIS SCHOLARS VIEW, AND TODAY HISTORIANS.
