Sheffield United's bench last season actually provided good output in terms of affecting games but there can be no denying the depth especially in certain areas wasn't there, and there is a dropoff in performance if the main core couldn't play every minute....

With Bogle & Lowe we really do address that to 2 of the most key areas whilst adding pace, youth and athleticism something the squad needed.

Burke is a Wilder signing. A gamble of which some have worked some haven't but at 6ft 2 and very rapid he's one Wilder will like.

Ampadu (if true) covers RCB, CB, & DM. He's tall, strong and athletic as well as technically excellent. For us it's a perfect signing, he can push starters, can easily come in and add something different and i wouldn't be surprised to see him play a fair amount of minutes.

For me with Lunny looking set to stay this window we'd be 1 striker who could start away from a good window. One without a big outlay that will improve the depth/cover, make the squad better & younger and add pace and athletes.
