why do outdoor cat owners think it's endearing to tweet about the wildlife their pets bring home dead and injured? if a dog owner praised their pet for maiming a rabbit because they considered it a 'gift' and it was trying to 'provide' for them, there would legit be outrage
this tweet brought to by someone who is tired of all the 'cutesy' posts about cat based ecological disasters
look, I know this is unpopular, but if you let your cat outside unsupervised, you are doing harm. whether or not *your* cat hunts (it does) you are perpetuating the acceptance of free-ranging domestic cats, which are proven to have a massive negative impact on wildlife ecology
how many people are now going to unfollow me because they know this is true but it makes them uncomfortable and cognitive dissonance is a real bitch
