Armed forces have been given the job & having accepted that responsibility, its incumbent upon them to perform.

....for whatever reasons, the Senior Commanders must either insist on Govt acceptance & if that is not forthcoming, then they must unequivocally convey the consequences on the ability of the forces to perform the assigned tasks.

The lure of a "lucrative" assignment after retirement, that of Governor or Ambassador etc, is all the incentive needed by some of the top Cdrs ...

Is every stake holder relying on the poor foot-soldier, the Cannon-fodder, to make up for the leadership inadequacies?

All aspects of this Chinese invasion must be investigated if we are to draw lessons for the future.
