Just a reminder, this is the actual screen grab of the online advert that caused such an outrage. For this "racist outrage" Clicks is now instituting disciplinary measures against some hapless employee. I fail to spot the racism in offering a product for dry and damaged hair.
Two junior staffers at Clicks suspended for the above advert. IMHO, they have an excellent case in the labour court against Clicks? They followed the brief from TRESemmé, promotoe different hair products for different types of hair. https://twitter.com/SAfmnews/status/1302930911336464384
Offending photo—NORMAL HAIR. Obviously the brief from the manufacturers included a product for normal hair. Obviously people of all races have both normal hair, and hair with problems which specific hair products address. What will be a non-racist way of potraying normal hair?
