The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “We are now in this day. Blessed are the strangers.” One asked, “O Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?” The Prophet said, “Righteous people among many evil people. Those who disobey them are more numerous than those who obey them.” -Ahmed

"The likeliness of this dunya compared to the akhira is that of anyone of you dipping his finger in the sea: let him see what he brings forth." -Ibn Majah
We see that this dunya is nothing. Islam frees the believer from this worldly life. We are living for the real life.
We are to live in this world as strangers, or wayfarers. This dunya isn't our home. Our home is Jannah, so let us be homesick for the eternal abode.
