Sell Orders - Don’t Panic!!

When Sell Orders go live on Thursday we will not see the depth of the Orderbook (How many shares have been offered for sale at every price point) this is really important to understand

The price you see will be the average price of the lowest 300...
...shares on offer

This doesn’t necessarily mean this is what the player is worth or what the majority of users on the platform thinks the player is worth. When that Sell Order is filled the price may jump up significantly.

Easier to explain with an example
Player has:-
Buy Price £10
Sell Price £9

I leave Sell Order at £9.10 in 300 shares

Buy Price changes to £9.10

If there are no other Sell Orders at all when someone buys my shares at £9.10 the price rebounds back to £10

If there is another Sell Order for 300 shares at £9.15...
The price rebounds to £9.15.

As we initially can’t see the depth of the Orderbook we don’t know what the price will go to once the current displayed Buy Price is accepted.

Human nature is that when our £10 player suddenly becomes a £9.10 we panic, think we are wrong and we..
Also list around the same level, this creates more depth at that level, more people do the same and suddenly there is real downward pressure on the price

If we can see the depth and there is one low Order at £9.10, then lots of Orders between £9.90 and £10.10, then it maybe...
A good opportunity to buy at £9.10 rather than panic and list at £9.15.

So if one of your players falls in price quickly, try not to panic and think about why you are holding the player, are they still a good hold and this is a chance to buy, or has something changed in their..
Circumstances to make them a bad hold at this price and then look to sell.

Another way of telling this is also how quickly the Offers look as if they are live for, if the offer of £9.10 is there for hours/days it means others in the market are not buying at that level and that
Suggests the player is overpriced. If the £9.10 is taken very quickly it shows there are others in the market that still want to buy!!

So try not to panic, understand why you hold a player and try and make your own rational decisions 👍
