July 2015: CSK was suspended from IPL for two years for the betting activities of their key official Gurunath Meiyappan. While haters celebrated CSKs exit, fans held #SaveCSK campaigns across the country. Debates took place. But nothing was able to lift the suspension. Hard times
After the heartbreaking loss of RPS in 2017 final, CSK fans eagerly waited for the next summer to see their fav players don the yellow jersey.
The CSK management intended to create a homely atmosphere for their ex players. So they didn't show intereset for outsiders. They brought back their head coach - Stephen Fleming. They appointed their ex-players Hussey & Balaji as the batting coach and bowling coach respectively.
With the retention of @msdhoni @ImRaina @imjadeja, the team retained the crux. The retention videos went viral across the social media, recreating CSK vibes.
Brand value is one thing that most of the fans don't bother about. But in a cash-rich tournament, money matters the most. Because that CSK is banned for 2 years, doubts arose regarding its brand value. But guess what! With $65M csk became the most valuable team. Amazing, right?

The second match, against KKR, was a bit more special than the first one as CSK is playing at their home after 2 years. CSK succesfuly chased the huge target, thanks to openers, and sam billings (MOM). Jadeja finished off the match with a six only to emphasize the emotion.
Now comes the twist in tale. #CauveryWater dispute forced BCCI to shift the home matches of CSK to Pune. Keepig in mind the security of players, BCCI took this decision. Fans were quite disappointed to hear this news.
But what can stop the super fandom when the team have a CEO like Kasi Viswanathan? He arranged a special train to pune, for the #WhistlePOdu gang. Everywhere we go....we are the chennai boys making hell of noise....everywhere we go 
CSK entered the playoffs for the 9th time. Their hero that night, Faf Du Plesis led the side to a magnificent win. Do you remember that day when CSK used RTM for Bravo and Faf? Never doubt CSK. With the win, the team entered the finale for 7th time.
It's SRH again! By then, CSK defeated them 3 times in that season. So odds favoured CSK. SRH set a target of 179 runs. Watson’s slow-moving innings made CSK worry. Req RR is climbing up. And then the beast is unleashed. WATTO! What an innings! CSK won the title for 3rd time.
The team travelled to their home chennai, the next day. They celebrated the victory and dedicated the trophy to their super fans. The best part of the team is when one failed, another delivered. They found a hero every match. Truly amazing team.
Ambati Rayudu lead the CSK's batting department with 602 runs with an avg of 43 and SR of 149.75, followed by @ShaneRWatson33 Bowling department didn't perform well that year. Shardul thakur with 16 wickets is the highest wicket taker for the side, followed by Bravo.
