It's a choice between either the economy being on ventilator or people being on ventilator.

We can prevent both going on ventilator & a lot of it depends on self discipline & intelligent behaviour by people when it comes to masks, social distancing & outdoor activities.
It is not entirely just people...govt needs to stop trying to normalize this pandemic...This is not a normal time, we are dealing with an infection pandemic & the govt needs to think out of the box when it comes to things like exams, office work, judicial system, sports etc!
Govt needs to Accept the science of it all....the acceptance will come when they realize that the way to save the economy is not by trying to create a perception of normalcy so that people can get back to doing what they were..The can't till we have a vaccine of sorts.
We as people need to also take this infection seriously & behave accordingly...or else please understand that our Healthcare system (even if we were to use the entire workforce & infrastructure for covid, which btw is impossible) is not adequate to manage covid at its peak.
Demand if you have to from the govt & your employers - Work From home, if physical work can't be avoided demand 50% work strength, social distancing, compliqnce of infection control practices - Don't just accept non-compliance. Stop being complacent about precautions yourself.
It is high time that @MoHFW_INDIA & @narendramodi led govt stops being complacent in - 1. Implementation of individual precautions like mask, handwashing 2. Implementation of wFH & strict infection control practices where work from office cannot be avoided
Also @narendramodi a govt cannot be imprudent bordering to being foolish & negligent in trying to take exams physically in the era of digitalization, Stop exams this will contain unnecessary travel....just lip service without actual implementation doesn't work before covid19.
