Is elimination dangerous like masks are dangerous. Because we might get careless and hug each other.

What is your evidence for the total death toll/economic outcomes of elimination. Just one example to support your argument?

My official response to this Mr Prime Minister is-

Can everyone that wants to “live with covid” just move to an island now?

Of course we need to manage returning citizens, and we should put a big effort into doing that. Properly funded staffed and with oversight.

However zero community transmission is a valuable target. It will help rescue domestic flights for example.

There are elderly couples that haven’t seen each other for weeks because one of them is in aged care. While you want to have covid19 circulating just to keep us all on our toes, their are vulnerable people suffering.

There are better ways to keep the population engaged with covid safe behaviour than making friends with a killer virus.

No one wants covid19 in their community.

No one.
