I am literally begging you to stop and think for two seconds about what you're saying/doing when you demand that nonbinary & agender people disclose their AGAB
"But privilege!"
"But life experiences!"
"But it affects how you grow up (see: privilege)"
^^^ This all operates under the wrongful assumption that agender and nonbinary people don't transition, can always pass for cis, and are never intersex

There's a lot I could say here. I don't pass for cis, as either binary. I couldn't even pass for cis BEFORE I transitioned. I was experiencing transphobic violence as a fucking egg.
But I shouldn't have to be saying any of this. Y'all should just be listening to nonbinary ppl

This is the part of the thread where I actually have to mention transphobia directly:
I am tired of hearing people complain about how nonbinary people "don't" experience transmisogyny or transphobia
when I literally have to tell my friends not to get mad at me for not talking as much in public bc people react to my voice by threatening to k*ll me
when I literally have to tell my friends not to get mad at me for not talking as much in public bc people react to my voice by threatening to k*ll me
I've been in the grocery store w/o makeup on just talking to my family - a private conversation - and a man who was watching me, after seeing my body and hearing my voice and catching the "mismatch" pulled me aside. TOUCHED ME.
And told me I was going to hell
And told me I was going to hell
We're skipping the police brutality element of all of this (TL;DR white trans people have a weird relationship w/ police violence because we're much more likely to survive the encounters than other trans people, but experiencing violence at the hands of others is still traumatic)
anyway
I am so tired of coming home from experiences like this and then having to hear MY OWN FRIENDS tell me that I don't experience transphobia or violence (or even threats thereof) because I'm agender

"Well, I didn't mean YOU, I was just making a broad, sweeping statement about nonbinary people because (insert statement that is basically poorly concealed hatred for non-transitioning and/or AFAB people here)"
okay, so let's get the obvious out of the way:
okay, so let's get the obvious out of the way:
There are nonbinary people - both AFAB and AMAB - who look and sound a lot like me and, as a result, experience just as much transphobic violence as I do
honestly I'm done talking.
It's okay to RT from this thread. I probably missed some detail somewhere that'll inspire arguments, but replies are closed so people will actually have to work to reach me
