they seem to think leftism is an ideology in and of itself rather than a general descriptor for left wing politics, think communist, anarchist, and socialist are all synonym for leftist, and they can't define what any of these words mean. it's the worst of both worlds.

it's actually similar to how right-wingers think everyone to the left of them has the same politics so they call joe biden a marxist and i feel like this might explain some things about leftists. except this is also what thy believe and are trying to be Thought Leaders.

meanwhile, anyone who simply explains what those words mean gets accused of being an elitist gatekeeper who's dividing the left. if you think basic ideological definitions are too divisive and elitist, just wait until you discover all of the party splits.
