A thread on the enemy:

About 10-15 years ago I liked to pose the question as follows:

Was it more of a challenge to live as a Christian in NT times where the enemies were obvious and your life was potentially in peril for being a believer OR...
...in modern times where things were a little lukewarm and we didn’t have obvious threats, but there was subtle decay in morals.

So really the question was is it easier to live your faith in the face of persecution/moral decay or in a soft environment...
Since then things have changed rather considerably and we are faced with more obvious threats to our faith (I probably don’t need to spell them out). It is becoming more apparent that the enemy is posting a direct attack in recent times...
How then do we change our lives and habits to accommodate these changes? It seems as though we need to remove more distractions and amusements and focus more on reinforcement of our faith and reaching out to those around us...
For myself, I need to double down on scripture reading to make sure the truth is always at hand, prayer so that I’m listening to what our Father is saying, and remove more distractions from my life. I have no immediate and definitive plan, but it’s well in my mind...
The enemy is more active, spiritual attacks are more pervasive and obvious and we need to get ready. Peace to you all. Get ready.
