According to the "Big Rip" theory, dark energy will become so powerful that it could pull ever ounce of matter apart on the atomic level.

7. Water can start fires in space.
"Supercritical water" is a state of water that occurs when it is compressed to a pressure of 217 atmospheres and heated above 373 degrees Celsius. When it is mixed with organic material, it creates a liquid-like gas that burns with no flame.

8. The Universe's temperature is just above absolute zero and it's getting colder as it expands.

9. Meteors can strike Earth at any time.

10. We technically live INSIDE the Sun.
