and ignoring the devastation that capitalism wrought: the enslavement of Africans, the genocide of indigenous peoples, and the underdevelopment and impoverishment of the global south. much like this thread, which looks to me like a bunch of white men dunking on a black woman.
even within europe, have you read Silvia Federici's work on the topic? in Caliban and the Witch, she argues that the situation of women in Europe was actually worsened with the advent of capitalism, ...
which arose not from a liberatory bourgeois revolution against oppressive feudal forces, but a counterrevolution against the peasant revolts which were already fighting for something that resembled socialism. i highly recommend reading Caliban and the Witch.
yes ive read marx, im a marxist, i know what he said. usually i choose to remain agnostic on this cuz it dont rly matter now, but seeing a bunch of white ppl drag a black woman for saying the system that enslaved her people en masse & ravaged the continent is the worst? yikes😬
