me and @rhodiumnights watched rock: it's your decision: a thread
jeff is a square who listens to rock music, his mother wants him to be obedient so he takes him to their youth pastor (??) and she brings up that hes been listening to rock music loudly
jeff makes a deal with his youth pastor to not listen to rock music for two weeks, and he gives him propaganda (The Big Beat: A Rock Blast, by Frank Garlock, in which the author argues that an overabundance of rhythm in music drives teenagers to drug abuse and fornication)
he eventually loses his friends, has a mental breakdown and talks to god. the ending of the movie has him talking to his youth church group, talking about how captain and tenille were getting edgy and that "some of them are admitted homosexuals!"
if you look at the movie as a psychological horror of a past generation trying to make sure their archaic ways persist in the next generation, it's a great movie. if you look at the movie as something serious, you'll realize that people actually were influenced by this
1/10. the protagonist is a future statistic.
