Despite being perhaps the smartest man who had ever lived, there are several other parts about Dany’s House of the Undying chapter in ACOK where I have no idea what’s really happening!

For instance: if it’s all just a drug-induced vision where Danny is looking into her own soul, why is she seeing things that have nothing to do with her: like the Red Wedding?

What is up with all those torches that keep guttering out and the monster who is coming behind her? What are the scratchings behind the walls? Why must she always go right? What was the plan of the Undying? Who is the corpse with grey lips smiling sadly on the prow of a ship?

All that said, I’ve got a really whacky idea for tomorrow’s @NotACastASOIAF as to the great meta behind the House of the Undying. I can’t wait for everyone to proclaim in unison that I’m finally showing my ass.
