PSA: You shouldn& #39;t comment on other people& #39;s weight. It& #39;s not necessary (unless they& #39;ve asked specifically for your opinion). A person& #39;s weight does NOT have anything to do with who they are.

I have a little personal mini-story. The photo on the (1/?)
left is me from about 7 years ago, and the photo on the right is from last year. I very rarely share full body photos, not because I& #39;m insecure, but because there is ALWAYS inevitably someone who is ready to congratulate me on my "amazing weight loss". (2/?)
As appreciated as the sentiment is, please DON& #39;T DO THIS unless the person you& #39;re speaking to has made it clear that they& #39;ve been working on losing weight.

I& #39;ve been sick for over 5 years, regularly throwing up blood EVERY SINGLE DAY because my stomach is fucked. (3/?)
I lost weight, and it wasn& #39;t on purpose. It wasn& #39;t for my health. It wasn& #39;t due to diligence, mindful eating, exercise. I didn& #39;t work at anything. I was (and still am) very, very sick. Congratulating me (or other people who have similar experiences to mine) (4/?)
on our weight loss without knowing anything about our actual health feels like a slap in the face.

You don& #39;t know what other people are going through, or what their experiences have been. Stop commenting on their bodies, even if you mean well, unless you KNOW it& #39;s welcome.
