Writing a dissertation is INTIMIDATING below are some tips that are helping me!
Tip 1: Be kind to yourself, listen to your body: eat, hydrate, sleep, and self-care.
Tip 2: Constantly communicate with your research advisor. IF you are stuck, tell them, if you are feeling hopeless
express it. Your research advisor cannot help you if you are they do not know to help.
Tip 3: Take your time with writing. While the first draft is not a perfected draft, you want to show your mentor that you have tried.
Tip 4: You are the expert, you know this stuff. Accept it
Tip 5: Do not overwhelm yourself with how much you have to do, it will never get done that way. Instead, tackle it section by section.
Tip 6: If you have a good mentor relationship, and you are told to write your dissertation, that means you are ready. Don't second guess it!
Tip 7: Trust that your mentor will never set you up for failure! You are a part of their legacy.

Tip 8: YOU ARE ALMOST DONE! Don't give up! It will all work out and you will be successful!
