So, I recently watched Prometheus and Alien: Covenant recently and I came across the update that Ridley Scott said about his next film in the franchise. He stated that while he's still planning to make it, he's uncertain if it will tie directly to the previous films.
The original plan for the last prequel film was to have the surviving characters from Covenant return and the story revolves around the last group of Engineers getting revenge for David's genocide on their home planet. I honestly find this story fascinating to explore.
Not only will we get the answers surrounding the Engineers, but it will no doubt tie back into the first Alien and explain the ship with the lone Engineer and the xenomorph eggs. It will bring everything the prequel trilogy has brought up all together.
I sincerely hope that Ridley Scott sticks to his gut and conclude the final prequel by keeping its connections to the previous films rather than just give in to hostile critics and ignore amazing elements of the antagonistic David and the mysterious Engineers.
I know this thread is kind of random, but I really like the Alien prequels as of late and eagerly await the last film. I hope that it sticks to the established lore and vision Scott created up till now.
