regarding ebony and the whole doxxing college issue, here’s a thread explaining why it’s even being discussed:
before i explain my side of the story, i just want you guys to stop saying to other cw staff that they’re “doxxing” ebony. if you don’t agree w my story, that’s an issue with me and you. stop bringing random people who decided to listen to my story into this.
so back in feb 2020, ebony had posted a tweet asking who can help her with essays. i was new to stan twitter at that time because i had just come back from being ia for 2 years, so i wanted to make friends and replied saying i could help. i had assumed +
i was just going to read her essay and annotate it and stuff but instead she sent me the prompts and made me write the essays. these were application essays for a university she was applying to in korea. there were 4 essays and i crafted the basic structure of 3 and helped her +
write the fourth one. i still have one of the essays in my notes app that i wrote back in feb for her. we basically messaged back and forth about the essays and i spent most of my lunch time/free time at school writing her essays. note: i don’t have any screenshots of our old dms
because she deleted her old account. i was a bit irked as to why i basically wrote her whole essays, but i didn’t say anything bc i wanted new friends and she also had a huge following and i didnt want to get into a huge twitter thing right when i came back from being ia. +
so that’s what happened in february. we didn’t talk a lot after i finished her essays but she had gotten accepted into the university. at this point she started tweeting about the university, so it’s KNOWN KNOWLEDGE that ebony was planning to go to hanyang university. she had +
even tweeted about it because seungcheol and jeonghan were going there. so i want to remind u that this was known knowledge and that no one doxxed this information. +
a few weeks later ebony asked me to help her with math hw. it was just her sending me ss’s of her questions and i would just write it out and she would copy it, but it escalated to the point where i could log onto her main university’s canvas account. +
since school was online due to covid, i was able to do her online work without issue, all i had to do was log on and do her modules. at this point ebony and i had already become friends and once again i didn’t say no because i felt like i’d be +
a bad friend and i didn’t want to fight someone with like 16k followers. so i did most of her math hw over a course of weeks and i tried hinting that i didn’t want to do it but ebony would continue asking me to do more and i would feel pressured to say yes. +
i also did her chapter tests and whatnot. for the final, i said i didn’t want to do the whole final and that she can just send me pics of the questions she didn’t understand. she ended up sending pics of every single question in the final, basically making me take the final for +
her without actully logging into canvas. the university that ebony was attending is not known by others and no one knows what ebony’s actual university is. the only university people know is hanyang. << that is the unviersity in question in regards to the “doxxing screenshots”.
besides doing her essays and math class, i’ve also made ebony’s yourube layout
i also want to speak on my friend’s behalf on their similar situation w ebony. also fyi that this friend is not part of carat world, so don’t link carat world staff into this.
but basically ebony asked my friend to write her job resume for her. my friend was able to say no
