This thread will be composed of my thoughts on Iklies as the story advances, which include analysis.
It will be updated as we obtain new information about him and I continue forming an opinion on him but it won& #39;t necessarily be updated with every release.

When Iklies is first mentioned you start forming a mental image of him that is quite favourable. After all, he& #39;s described as a quiet apprentice with a noble yet tragic background, and Penelope considers him her safest bet so in my mind I conjured up a young good boy.
He even pitied Penelope in the common route so I thought he& #39;d be tender hearted and sweet. In my mind he was the "nice and sweet talented swordsman".
Furthermore, the fact that she didn& #39;t know anything about him in Penelope& #39;s route and would have a clean new relationship with him, unblemished by the game, cemented in my mind the idea that he had to be the ML (a thought that I recently found out couldn& #39;t be more wrong).
Then I assumed that his personality would be less turbulent or troubled than the others. Of course, that was my mistake, for he was a slave, and that changes a lot of things. He had to survive somehow in that state, and thus, it is comprehensible that he became aggressive and
prone to bloodshed. Coupled with his swordmanship skills from his time as a noble, it is only natural that he would come across as brutal, for such prowess and technique is bound to highlight his actions. Being so good at it makes him "scarier" and a force to be reckoned with.
I was genuinely shocked when he first appeared and I was able to witness his abilities in such a terrifying scenario. Twice, at that. But what was really the cherry on top was his soft, docile demeanour and reaction right after carrying out such bloody actions.
To be completely honest I didn& #39;t expect him to behave like this but I like it so far.
"Please praise me, Master."
"Please praise me, Master."
This rather soft and meek side of him is one that I do not know how to interpret. The rise in favorability makes me think it is real and that he truly cares for her, but some of his dark moments lead to some doubt. Does he really have a soft spot for Penelope or is it all an act?
