Yet another thread in appreciation of Yoongi’s musical abilities and undeniable skills:
I think about this a lot. Yoongi’s mind is constantly ON when it comes to his music. What we get as the final track or concept is just one of many versions of a song, and we’ve seen his work-in-progress brilliance through drafts like Autumn Leaves and Flower.
We know he churns out hundreds of compositions every year and some of those creations resurface years later - like the snippet of Moonlight we got during his vlive!
Whether it’s lyrics jotted down on his notepad, beats inspired by a weekend getaway, canvas art triggered by his own thoughts at dawn - he imbibes any available stimulus to power his work like a true creative.
He spends his free time at the studio with access to equipment, so he can pour out all these beautiful ideas his mind comes up with, whenever inspiration strikes.
It’s stunning. He’s a master craftsman. You know how he loves architecture and building? Starting from scratch and putting things together? That’s exactly what he does with his music.
It’s almost like he creates these discrete puzzle pieces over several months and year and puts them together in the most harmonious way when the time is right to produce an exquisite masterpiece.
I recently watched a YT video about his studio and equipment. (Thanks @glosshypegirl was a reaffirmation of the fact that Yoongi KNOWS sound. He knows music and it’s evident simply by looking at his studio setup.
**Disclaimer: this next part is a best guess based on app translations off of the actual video, which unfortunately does not have English subtitles so I may be inaccurate. (1/2)

Yoongi uses two distinct speakers - Amphion ONE 18 enabling a high resolution sound and FOCAL Twin which is a low pitched speaker. Despite their varied functions, the combination of the two allows for more objective hearing of a track so you don’t get accustomed to just one tone.
It’s small details like this that really get me excited about his mind and approach to music. Despite having no background in the field, I find myself enamored and wanting to learn more so I can appreciate his work at a granular level.
He goes HARD when it comes to his craft and knowing that singular fact makes me love his work 10x more then any causal listener. There’s just SO MUCH to love about Min PD and his process - and what we’ve seen so far is just a sliver of what he can do. Ruminate on that.
If there are typos in this thread it’s because my hands are shaking from the sheer force of imagining Yoongi at his studio right now making his 200th track for the year. We’ve all been there. Shush.
