[1/11] After some deciding today, I have decided to not sign up for FurryLife Online. Even as an apolitical person who considers politics to be the greatest sin committed by mankind, I cannot support a site that, to keeps it brief, leans too far to the left for my liking.
[2/11] The banning of cub is understandable. The banning of hate groups is concerning as Fur Affinity did the exact same thing a year or two ago. But the banning of feral is where I start to compare FLO to Christian fundamentalists.
[3/11] With these recent updates to their policy, it's clear that FurryLife Online cannot notice the line between fiction and reality. Just like the Christian moms who had massive hate boners for Mortal Kombat and Doom in the early 1990s.
[4/11] FurryLife Online are allowing themselves to bow down to the demands of so-called 'popufurs' who I can compare to Tumblr's infamous userbase where social justice runs wild. I can also compare FLO to the late subreddit r/chapotraphouse(may it rest in pieces).
[5/11] I cannot help but hold my breath for the final nail in the coffin being the banning of ALL NSFW content like they're shooting themselves in the foot. FLO will no doubt go down the same route as defunct SFW furry sites from years past such as ArtSpots, Yerf, and SheezyArt.
[6/11] I also condemn Deo's wishes to become a staff member on FurryLife Online. Based on what I have heard, it's clear she's not a good person to hire. To keep it brief, she acts like a bully to those who don't share the same political beliefs of it, including the apolitical.
[7/11] I cannot support a site that instead of becoming the next FA, they decided to become the next Tumblr. Nor can I support a site that has such a controversial staff member as Deo.
[8/11] Her desire to become a staff member on a site that's already waist-deep in controversy is where I draw the line. It's a bridge too far that FurryLife Online will have to pay the price for in the future. And it clear that FLO is willing to die on the hill they've chosen.
[9/11] As much as I want to continue ranting about FLO, I don't want this thread to become the length of my journals on DeviantArt. So I'm bringing this to a close. Expect a more detailed journal later this week to answer any burning questions you might have.
[10/11] TL;DR: I will not be joining FurryLife Online due to their bannings of certain content, and the fact that a well-known bully such as Deo wishing to become a staff member.
[11/11] I also ask people to consider watching the Down The Rabbit Hole video on furries that explores the origins of the fandom. I highly - I repeat, HIGHLY - recommend it to younger members of the community.
