There's something to the claim that a racial-democratic (disparity) argument supplanted a social-democratic horizon on the left, but it downplays the fact that racial-democracy arguments did not win out in society at large-the main factor sustaining this structure of debate.
So I often agree with criticisms of forms of anti-racism that mainly function to support elite entry-ist strategies, but the broader brush indictment fails to reckon with the racism that continues to divide poor and working class people in both political and economic dimensions.
