Frankly slightly tired of several Hindus being hell bent on proving that Hinduism is a “liberal” and “tolerant” religion, so Hindus get neutered and desensitised to a point where even desecration does not bother them. We are tolerant. We should be. We are not neutered.

Essentially, Hindus must mandatorily be ok with desecration of their idols, their temples, their tradition, their culture, their rituals and everything they hold sacred to prove that we are not as bad as the people who oppressed us (Islamists) for centuries? Stockholm syndrome?

So the expectation is that if Hindus don’t want to be compared to their oppressors then they should be willing to let go of everything they hold dear, just like the Islamists wanted them to and not even raise their voice, lest they be compared to those who burn the world?

When ppl wonder why Hindutva is necessary, they shld analyse this syndrome. Hindutva is what pushes back and protects Hindus who practise Hinduism. You can’t expect Hindus to not even raise their voice with the eternal threat that they will be compared to those who burn the world

Unfortunately (or fortunately, I am not sure), I have a little too much to say on the subject and a tweet thread will simply not suffice. Will write an article. But for now, this will have to suffice. The “liberals” tagging me and urging me to “condemn” Hindus... won’t happen.
