More than 50 people were arrested at last night’s protest in Portland.

That’s almost twice the previous record for single-day protest arrests in the last 100 days. It’s 5x as many as were arrested during the Trump caravan event where someone literally died.
As always, I’ll be interested to see what people are charged with. Remember that vague charges like IPO and disorderly conduct II are generally used when protesters were, like, calmly standing around after being told to dispersed.
Speaking of @MollyHarbarger, she just sent me data that I missed, so my first tweet is inaccurate but she gave me an out lol 💕

“Just fyi, they’ve arrested 48 people twice: 5/30 and 6/6(6). But you are right that it far outstrips any single night since the first two weeks.”
Oops I should have deleted that 666 joke but here we are.
