I do freelance work and if I am not organized it fails. It is a lot of steps to remember at first, but it has lead me to doing this EVERYWHERE in my life. Every time I employ/apply this organizational knowledge to my own biz or the blog projects I help with? They get easier too!
Please do yourselves and everyone you communicate with the favor of making sure you all learn these VITAL digital skills! It’s relatively easy to learn how to do them all. And at first they take time to get used to, but eventually you’ll become so organized it’ll be instinct!
Take the time to learn these tasks and implement a system of organization for your digital life. Your friends, coworkers, fellow bloggers, and employers will be relieved and grateful. (Also, it’s not *really* optional anymore to exist without these basics of digital etiquette.)
Keeping a clean inbox with organized replies by topic, subject, and contact is essential for data tracking and records keeping. ANY project you are working on should have this, but especially things involving large groups of people/contributors or things where money is exchanged.
You should be able to immediately find who scheduled what, who replied to important questions, who agrees or disagrees, who accepted or declined items/info/invites, who is in charge of what, etc.

You need to track everything. You need to keep data clean and managed. No chaos!
Also when writing emails or branded posts it’s important to know HOW MUCH casual language to use and when to be business-y. In the age of social media and casual language, this is imperative to learn. You must be intentional with your verbiage. Learn how and when to apply it!
Please, I beg of you! Take the time to learn how to do all of this and your digital and professional lives will improve! Learn the basics of professional correspondence and filing and administrative skills in the physical world and then transfer that to digital methods!

Every field needs to know how to do basic administrative tasks now. I understand not everyone has access to all forms of technology, and that’s it’s own issue. But I speak to that those who do have access right now — please learn how to do these things! Then show someone else 🧡
If you don’t have access to technology to learn this by actions and doing, reading website posts and blog posts or social media threads can still provide cursory knowledge for implementing when you do get access 🧡!
Libraries are also a GREAT resource for help, as are schools.
Obviously I don’t mean to harm or imply that anyone who can’t access tech or internet or other things is a jerk! We must all do better in the digital age at providing mobile technology to all citizens by ensuring they all have equal access. It’s now a human right not a privilege!
Also when teaching others who don’t know how to do this, be respectful and be patient. Don’t berate them or laugh at them. Be gentle and kind and understanding that those new to these methods may need lots of intervention, assistance, constant corrections & reassurance. Be nice!
If someone is frequently reminding you of proper digital/internet etiquette, please be mindful that it isn’t meant as an offense. They’re trying to help you properly navigate the new internet digital age by learning the “digital manners” of this online life. 🧡 plz learn basics!
