This video kinda annoyed me and it's hard to explain why. Click bait article, zero research from twoset (as usual), Sci-Fi speculation that has no basis on reality. Call me naive but I really don't think humans are ever going to vibe with music written by computers.
Half of why music is so wonderful is the fact that it's a window into another person's soul. Even if we will have AI-composers sometime in the future the gimmick could lose the appeal very fast, I think. Then, on the other hand, I'm an engineering major (studied automation)
and I find these sort of technological exercises consisting of training a computer to respond to emergencies and create stuff super fascinating, from an intellectual perspective. Sometimes it's fun to push the limits of science and not all scientists mean harm.
("is an AI coming for our jobs?" twoset's jobs? definitely not. musician's jobs? also no. if you want to worry about someone worry about factory workers, there's where automation is focused nowadays)
anyway.... idk where I'm going with this. I clearly love twoset, I wouldn't have this acc if I didn't, but sometimes they make videos that make me feel like I'm living in a completely different world then they do.
