I only rewatched the scenes of The Old Guard where we see Nicky and Joe because I want more of them but can't read fics without falling asleep

So the movie is not the best, but it gave us this beautiful canon gay couple (canon in the graphic novel too!), and I just love how they look like regular people while being so beautiful together.

Of course a real gay kiss on screen is always great, and they're not young gays in their early 20s, so yeah

Also big angst because they're immortal but still die, and come back, and suffer a lot. And they chose to be some kind of mercenaries or something. Like vigilantes. They fight a lot, are badly wounded a lot, and also die.

Anyway they've been in love for more than 900 years (yes, 900 years), and are a canon enemies to lovers ship since they fell in love after killing each other too much during the Crusades
