My kids sometimes wear charity shop clothes. I grew up in them-no choice. When Iâve talked about this before judgers judged.
But as we rethink our financial model what role circular economy on spending differently, wasting less & sharing more?
A resources thread. 1/

Give to, and buy, from charity shops. @CharityRetail
They are a major source income for hard hit charities but also sit as a valuable resource for clothes and furniture for communities. 2/ https://www.charityretail.org.uk/find-a-charity-shop/

Use Freecycle. Individuals in local groups post items that might otherwise end up in landfill. Great for large furniture and childrenâs toys but also plants, pictures and kitchen stuff. 3/

If you are a community group then @FareShareUK is a potential partner. Reducing food waste and supporting healthy eating it redistributes food companiesâ surplus into community groups. 7/ https://fareshare.org.uk/getting-food/

Many local groups have their own arrangements for giving away unwanted items, sharing or even skill swapping. We use @Nextdoor_UK but Parish Councils are a great source of information @NALC 9/ https://nextdoor.co.uk
