{A thread} Spiritual warfare Most of the church’s teaching on spiritual warfare today actually empower Satan. Truth is, satan has literally been disarmed— “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”Colossians 2:15

Principalities and powers have been spoiled, Christ conquered them through the cross and the resurrection, Jesus Christ stripped the devil of power and authority over you... satan/demons literally has nothing on you unless you allow him to

“Therefore,since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil” Hebrews 2:14

Satan has already been conquered and rendered powerless by Christ

When you have been born again you have everything in Christ. The fullness of Christ dwells in you, you are complete in him, you enjoy uninterrupted union
— “and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;”
Colossians 2:10

The true question is where is the warfare ?? — Usually you’d think Is it your own flesh or your ‘sinful nature’ right ?? Sorry but that’s not true!! Your old self was already Crucified on the cross (Galatians 5:24, Colossians 2:11, Romans 6:4-6). Your sinful nature was buried!!

Instead, all you’re doing is combating his lies and deceptions— the same ones he used on Adam and Eve. All the enemy can do is to make you believe he has more power than you think. That’s why it’s so important you establish yourself in the finished work of Christ

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,”
II Corinthians 10:3-4

When born again, you are not at war with your flesh, you just need to renew your mind

.... “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”
II Corinthians 10:5 NKJV

— Satan only seeks to work on your mind, so you ought to cast down these imaginations.

Cast these thoughts & imaginations down to the obedience of Christ. The obedience of Christ was in Philippians 2:8 which says "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became OBEDIENT to the point of death, even the death of the cross."

We take these evil thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, which was his death ( THE CROSS) — Which is where YOUR OLD NATURE WERE CRUCIFIED with him. Don’t just say to yourself “Oh I guess it’s just because lust is in me” — NOO, by saying that you give satan the upper hand

You see, the spiritual warfare is literally between your ears, it’s in your mind !! That’s why you must renew your mind ( Romans 12:2/ Ephesians 4;23-24/ Philippians 2:5/ 2 Timothy 1:7/ Proverbs 23:7 ) — The vocal point of attack of the enemy will be your mind, think about it ...

Ephesians 6, Paul metaphorically explains that we ought to know our identity Christ.
. Belt of Truth & Breastplate of Righteousness (v14)
. Shield of faith (v16)
. Helmet of salvation (v17)
. Sword of the spirit
. Feet covered w/ Gospel of peace

This was Apostle Paul’s greatest concern with the church in Corinthians — “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
II Corinthians 11:3 NKJV

Satan can only deceive you!!

Hence why doctrine is very much so important, Satan only has as much power as you give him then he will use your ignorance to deceive you, whether it be through doctrine etc. If you’re taught contrary to the finished work it could be very misleading to your walk in Christ.

“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.”
Galatians 1:6-7 NKJV

Renew your mind & Be aware of deception

Christ removed your sinful nature, He has conquered Satan... depression & anxiety has no power over you.. YOU ARE A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST— RENEW YOUR MIND to what Christ has done in you, and begin to walk in this reality.
