"Nee, Atsumu-san..." Shoyo mumbled weakly, "it's cold."

Atsumu could feel the lump in his throat almost preventing him to speak. It's painful, suffocating, bit by bit it's tearing him apart.

+ his limbs were thin, his former tanned skin now pallid, yet his eyes still shone as brightly as the day they first met. It still held the same love and awe as he looked into Atsumu's.

"You're...really warm." Shoyo's voice was small, breathy. "...like always."+

Atsumu hugged him closer, pressing his mouth on Shoyo's temples as his eyes closed to try and restrain his tears. His heart was heavy and he didn't know how much more he could take.

But he can't give up. Shoyo's still here, in his arms.

Yeah. He's still here. +

"Yeah? Then I'll warm ya up for the rest of our lives." His voice cracked. Shoyo chuckled softly.

"Mmm." He hummed as he closed his tired eyes. "For the rest...of our lives."

A single tear fell down Atsumu's cheeks, followed by another, til he couldn't stop it anymore +

"S-stay with me, sunshine. P-please?" He was trembling, his mouth shaking as he begged for him to stay.

Then he felt Shoyo's hand on his cheek. Cold. Shoyo's fingertips were cold. +

Why was he smiling when he's about to go and leave Atsumu here with all the shadows of their memories?

"I'm glad...that you're...the last one I...see before I...go."

Atsumu couldn't speak. +

Atsumu felt Shoyo's hands starting to slip so he held it with his own as he cried.
