Just to add a bit of context to this. The issue here was the white Afrikaner government of SA instilling an oppressive policy of apartheid on the Black majority. Congress passed a package of sanctions that would cripple that government and pressure SA to end apartheid

Ronald Reagan thought this was a bad idea as most racist shitbags of the time did. His Secretary of State here is offering congress a weak mealy mouthed condemnation claiming there is fault ON BOTH SIDES of the apartheid issue. Joe Biden WAS NOT HAVING IT

Joe Biden said fuck that noise Ron. He was able to build a coalition in the congress and senate to OVERRIDE Reagan's veto. It takes TWO THIRDS of both houses to do this. Biden did it. the sanctions went into place. 4 years later Apartheid in South Africa was abolished.

Now lets not pretend here that Joe Biden single handedly ended apartheid... because i know thats where some of you faux wokes are headed. the work, blood, sweat, tears and LIVES of countless Black South Africans went into ending that inhumane system. My point here is...

Who leads this country MATTERS. No leader is perfect but we can not let the perfect be the enemy of the GOOD. When the choice is between a party to at the very least can recognize the GOOD & one that stands on the side of evil how can you sit by AND NOT MAKE A CHOICE?
