Supporting a friend’s small business is one of the most sustainable things you can do!

Here’s why: a thread 🧵
The definition of sustainability isn’t limited to the way we treat the environment through our purchases. There is also a social side to it - and it includes your friends.
By supporting your friends’ businesses, you:

• Boost a small business (that may be incorporating sustainable business practices)
• Help the local economy (much needed during this time)
• Practice sustainability (by not giving money to big corp. that enforce fast fashion) +
• Support their dreams and aspirations
• Invest in trustworthy products
• Have access to their transparency policy
How to support small businesses:

• Pay full price (no discounts just because you’re a friend/relative!)
• Follow + like + comment + share (engagement in social media is just as important)
• Tell your friends and family (spread the word!) +
• Post a picture of their product and tag them (exposure, again, is incredibly valuable and helpful to businesses that are starting out)
• Cheer them on (be there when they’re doubtful and when they have a bad day, not just when there’s something to celebrate)
Feel free to add more ways in which we can support small businesses!
